The Marco Pantani Foundation in 2021 was committed to:
* Direct management of Spazio Pantani (Multimedia Museum dedicated to Marco Pantani, open all year round, and with the aim of carrying out, alongside the typical function of a museum, also all the merchandising activities, aimed at financing charitable works)
* Support for the creation of a youth cycling team in Vinkovci-Croatia. It was a specific will of the champion. That of teaching the sport of bicycles to the very young, so after supporting the Croatian Red Cross in the demining of areas close to inhabited areas, the Marco Pantani Foundation sent all the necessary material for the opening of a Pantani Corse in Croatia to encourage the practice of this sport among the very young.
Collateral activities and collaborations in favor of the bicycle sport:
* Establishment and assistance of the Amateur Cycling Group “Friends of Marco Pantani”. The G.C. Amici di Marco Pantani has counted in its first year of activity 40 athletes who have carried out amateur activities at national level. The athletes enrolled in the group come from the most disparate Italian regions (Emilia Romagna, Veneto, Lombardy, Piedmont, Tuscany, Umbria, Lazio, etc …)
* Collaboration with the Historical Cultural Exhibition of Cycling in Cesenatico * Support for the “Cuore in Comune” project, a project for the donation of a defibrillator and a first aid information app with a map of all the defibrillators that embrace the city of Cesenatico and make it even more Cardio Protected.
* Collaboration with the organization of the Marco Pantani Memorial, a competition for professional cyclists held in September in Cesenatico
* Collaboration with “Saturnia Bike” for the redevelopment of the “Muro del Pirata” of Poggio Murella and the construction of the first time trial “Muro del Pirata – Saturnia”
* Collaboration and authorization with Astoria Wines for the creation of a bottle dedicated to the Pirate.
* Authorization and collaboration for the construction of the statue in Monte Campione. The structure, 6 meters high, was installed at an altitude of 1,800 meters in the municipality of Vallecamonica where the champion won a stage and mortgaged the victory of the Giro d’Italia in 1998. All the credit goes to Silvia Schivini.
* Creation in collaboration with Andre Campagnaro of the “Official Team Marco Pantani” cycling team that deals with teaching and the values of sport in the very young sector, from 5 years old, to Allievi, 16 years old.
* Authorization and collaboration of “The best Marco Pantani” a documentary film directed by Paolo Santolini (Okta Film, RAI Cinema). For the first time an unprecedented journey into the life of the great cyclist, between public and private archive materials, intimate conversations with family and closest friends, against the backdrop of his beloved Cesenatico.
